Zevia soft drinks

Zevia Cola is a cola soft drink marketed by Seattle-based company Zevia LLC. The drink is marketed primarily as a healthy alternative to traditionally sweetened colas containing sugar or diet colas sweetened artificially with substances like aspartame. Zevia is sweetened with stevia rebaudiana anderythritol. Because its lack of sugar or caloric content, it is labeled as a diet soda. However, when the product was introduced, stevia had yet to be permitted by Food and Drug Administration as a food additive so at the time it was technically sold as a "dietary supplement" instead of a soft drink.^[1]Zevia Cola is flavored with kola nut extract, citrus oils and other ingredients. It does contain caffeine, which is a common ingredient of most colas.
